Brought together by similar beliefs, Lakeside Fire exists to reach students with the Gospel on a personal level by meeting them where they are and teaching on a level they can understand and apply to their personal lives. We want to pull students into a Christian environment that is not only youth-friendly, peer-based and fellowship-oriented; but a place where the Word of God is taught as the only truth. Lastly, we want to teach students that they are NOT the church of tomorrow, but they are the NOW church and are expected to worship, witness and use their ministry gifts to reach local students and the world around them.

13 Next Cafe'

The Fireside Cafe' at Lakeside Worship Center's Brann Student Ministry Center in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, is a student initiated idea and dream that was birthed through Lakeside Fire Youth Ministries a few years ago. The cafe is one of many ideas and dreams that have recently come to life through a vision that was cast by our senior pastor in the Summer of 2011 out of Habakkuk 1:5 "...for I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe even if you were told...." The Fireside Cafe' creates a positive, fellowship-oriented atmosphere not only for students but for the whole family. In addition to an exclusive (usually homemade) featured entree every week, there are also several regular menu items to choose from as well, each week. So, come on out with the whole family and enjoy a grandiose, economical dinner, before or after the Wednesday evening activities. The cafe is open every Wednesday from 6 pm to 7 pm and then immediately following all of the Wednesday activities until 9 pm. All of the proceeds help to fund Lakeside Fire Youth Ministries and are tithed to our student's mission program, "Speed the Light.” { www.speedthelight.com }

We promote true and open worship, where students can TOGETHER…

  • FELLOWSHIP WITH OTHER STUDENTS
  • OPENNESS WITH GOD
  • CAST ASIDE THOSE THINGS NOT OF GOD
  • UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER TO GOD
  • STAND

Speed  the  Light  (STL) is the student-initiated, volunteer, charitable program  that  provides  much-needed equipment to missionaries across the nation and in over 180 countries around the world. Since its beginning, STL has raised over $220 million for missionary equipment around the world. By providing ministry equipment to our missionaries, STL is training the young people of America to develop individual ownership of the Great Commission as they help our missionaries spread the gospel message to the lost.

Airplanes, cars, vans, motorcycles, bicycles, trucks, buses, boats, horses, camels, donkeys, wheel barrows, etc., if it has wheels or hooves and can carry a missionary to a country, city, town, village, or under a card board box where someone is waiting to hear about Jesus, Speed the Light has provided it.

We give so our missionaries can travel faster, preach clearer, and be heard louder, in order that that Heaven might be a bigger place…filled with people from every nationality, color, and tribe who have accepted Him as their Savior.

A STUDENT WHO FOLLOWS JESUS AT SCHOOL!

Student Empowerment

Students reaching students is what youth ministry is all about. Empowering students to become campus missionaries helps enable them to accept personal responsibility to reach the lost of their generation. By making campus missions a priority, students can live out their faith today and develop a deeper ownership of their beliefs that will last later in life.

A Campus Missionary commits to:

  • PRAY daily for friends, teachers, school administrators, and others who need Jesus’ hope.
  • LIVE a real, consistent Christian Faith by reading, studying, and memorizing God’s Word and spending time in personal worship.
  • TELL her/his friends about Jesus.
  • SERVE in or begin an active campus club.
  • GIVE time and finances to promote Jesus’ hope globally.
